Design Objective:
I collaborated with the New York-based bookstore, Big Apple Books, to modernize their identity and address key marketing challenges. I created an iconic logo mark, inspired by the quintessential New York City pigeons, using a simple pigeon icon formed from quotation marks. This logo was designed to become a recognizable symbol for the bookstore, akin to the city's staple birds.
To complement this refreshed visual identity, I introduced the typefaces Gotham and Archer. Gotham provided a contemporary feel, while Archer retained the charm of the bookstore's established character. Additionally, I revamped their email marketing and CRM campaigns, boosting sales and subscriptions. I also enhanced their social media presence and paid advertising efforts to reach to new audiences.
