Design Objective:
I was tasked with creating a logo and packaging campaign for Three Beards Brewing, a craft brewery located in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The packaging suite included body, neck, and cap labels, along with a 6-pack holder. Their target audience was young professionals who appreciate the distinctive taste of microbrewed beers and ales. The packaging needed to be fresh, cohesive, versatile, and eye-catching on the shelf.
Given the name "Three Beards Brewing," the client recognized their strong sense of identity. The concept I moved forward with was a design series of personified beards, each with a unique look, personality, and feel, to represent the different flavors of beer. This approach not only aligns with the brewery’s brand but also engages consumers by encouraging them to collect all the beard-themed bottles.
The goal was to create a visually striking display, where the diverse and expressive beard characters would draw attention on the shelves. The idea is to have a wall of beards, ranging from sassy to serious, each one appealing to potential consumers and convincing them to pick up a new bearded-brew each time they saw it on the shelf in the store.
